Release the balloons and pigeons! Set off the fireworks! Oops let the pigeons fly away first. OK now set off the fireworks! Yes this is post #2,000!
For this special occasion I decided to post my main Matchbox display. It's the most valuable part if not most of the collection. There are a couple few hundred more in carrying cases and smaller displays.
Photo #1 is the top shelf of 4. These are 1-75 series Matchbox not counting the car carrier and the major pack semi with dual trailers. Couldn't get the whole shelf but these are the standard size models aka 1:64 scale (despite them being different scales). About a couple grand worth of Matchbox there.
Next shelf down are the King Size Matchbox models. I think I have posted most of these. Looks like I forgot to dust that shelf.
Shelf 3 down is the Yesteryear shelf. A Corgi Corvette snuck in along with some gas station pieces. Yesteryears are less popular than the other models. That means you can still pick them up for a good price.
The floor level shelf has the fire station and gas station with boxes and the Sears Service Station. Got some water damage on my favorite service station box but sadly it can only be seen from this angle. Oops my bad.
Post number 3,000 coming up so stay tuned.
