I am cleaning out the sold house (contents included) of a deceased man that lived to be about 90.
In the back of the garage were some old boxes on the floor with roaches, rats and silverfish living in them. A job for a real treasure hunter.
This is some of what I found and I will keep some things private.
I FOUND HIS TOYS FROM HIS CHILDHOOD!
I found a mercury dime in a birthday card from 1937 addressed to a little boy. He must have missed this gift inside the envelope.
The dime was complety black so I gently used a soft silver cream to be able to see the silver.
It sure is a clean looking dime as it was hidden in a box with all of this kids birthday memories for all of these years.
Rats and silverfish have destroyed most of the stuff in the boxes in the garage but I did salvage metal toys, a couple of cards, baby clothes, scout badge, face powder, Zell Piggy Bank, milk tops and stuff that I have added in my photos. This is what I love to do, treasure hunt.
