Weller Greora vase

Weird wierd wierd. Seems pretty old, but but such a funky wild glaze, lol. I just don’t get it. I don’t see any marks anywhere. On the base, there is a U shape, but I think that is possibly a thumb print. I am at a total loss. I think it’s hideous, but I’m captivated for just that reason. Any ideas, gang???
