Here is another Jenny Lind, I had for a while. We don’t have space to keep all of them we work on. So when we find ones we like better, we get rid of some others. I have not seen one with this many buttons. Looks like someone worked on it before we found it. We didn’t do much to the outside. Again mostly inside restore.

That's a wonderful trunk. You don't often see this configuration of 7 rows of brass buttons.Typically the leather bands are not covered in brass buttons. Thanks for the post.

This a before and after? Looks like it was covered in leather or are the pale spots from scratches through the previous stain. I though everyone has the Paint program on their computer for rotating pictures? wink wink...lol
Im4anythingOld - yes the photo on the right is how we bought it. Simply gave it a good cleaning and tung oil. The first photo is current look. More attention given to the inside made it usable.
I’m using my iPad for posting. I wish I knew how to rotate after posting. They are upright in my trunk photos file. Can you help by explaining more?
You got me on that one, I don't use an Ipad. Maybe turn the picture incorrect on the Ipad and try an upload again. Maybe it will turn it correct?? Weird why it would turn a photo by itself.
SamKat, here my sure-fire tip I learned about picture orientation. This works with my iPhone so likely will work for you on the iPad.
1. Select the picture you intend to post.
2. Change “some little something” about that
picture, such as it’s dimensions, change from
rectangle to square. Just about any change will
satisfy the thing.
3. Be sure to “accept” the change you made to the
picture.
4. Re-post the picture to CW. It will then be
correctly oriented.

A cool early 1850's label from one (there were many) of the early trunk makers.
Great going there Watchsearcher. I find photos not correct for anything simply cannot be viewed properly. There a beautiful Martin Maier on here with the main image vertical. I copied it to my desk top, turned it to view it properly and it really makes you aware of how important it is, and that you don't really see it or visually digest it?? with your head tilted which is a shame and easily can promote lack of interest. I felt like and still do... redoing it and posting it myself with the credit going to the owner just so it could be enjoyed and viewed properly by all....lol
Very cool and Interesting Canadian Label drill. The end banding is quit unique, if its a true representation of how this company did their trunks. Thanks for another great label!
