Next year this Electro Lux vacuum may be reincarnated as paper clips or some other essential item.

I suppose that it had failed the “oatmeal test” for the final time

Oh *where* is that poor thing -- PLEASE save it -- it's even a model with the built in cord retractor...??

Hi, AO, I did manage to salvage this relic earlier today! I will do some cleaning on this, and will leave the rest of the project to any one who would be interested in this captivating item.

GOOD JOB Ted_Straub for rescuing the poor upside-down thing!!!!
      :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I'm not certain offhand but it might actually be one of the less-common Electrolux models with that case design and the wheels, though probably not the 'oldest', there are lots of resources online to help determine that. Parts for the things are still available too, AFAIK.

If I was anywhere close to wherever you are, I'd *certainly* volunteer to stop by and take it off your hands...??? <LOLOL>

I live in Kingston, PA..whereabouts are you located?

Arkansas (The Natural State) Ted...it'd be a 2 day drive for me to come visit. However I do have other friends from other forums all over in PA...but crap, I don't need another Suck-O-Lux (borrowing my favorite term for Electroluxes from the 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' movie) as I already have at least half a dozen different models of the things around here somewhere (then there's the Tri-Star vacuums) though not one like yours, but still...
      <groan><headdesk><LOL>

...what do we all continually do to ourselves, while otherwise trying to amuse ourselves with the piles of stuff we surround ourselves with...there's GOTTA be something good about that...?? :-)

...and tonite's evening news here suggests all y'all in PA are currently getting buried in that 'white four-letter-word' cr*p...stay warm and well!! :-) :-) :-)

Yes, there is something indescribably good about the satisfaction that we get from collecting things!!!!

Oh, and our area is being blanketed by snow right now!!!! Some sleet is mixing in, which may keep he totals down, but definitely will make the snow heavier to shovel tomorrow!

. . . I haven't managed to make it to PA yet (a large state?!) but I'll be as close as all over OH within the next month or so . . . stranger things than a vacuum are already planned to fall into my truck while I'm up there running around . . .
      ;-) ;-) <lolol> :-) :-)

Hi, AO...yes, PA is a pretty vast state. I live in the northeastern part. I hope that your trip to Ohio goes well, and that you'll let us all know of what treasures you will have acquired!
