The world's first 5.25 inch hard disk drive, converted into a clock! ( with a battery quartz movement). This beast weighs over 3 pounds.
This clock has lessons for us all, larger than the inexorable march of technology; I named it "Ozymandias" (and we all know what words go on its pedestal).
Wikipedia says this 5 Mb HDD (hard disk drive) cost $1,500 in 1980 (which is +- $5,000 in 2021).

Neat idea henhenglade! Isn't it incredible that with the passage of a little time, we can buy a micro memory card, something about the size of a fingernail, with over 50,000 times the amount of storage for about $50?
