Just a nice little box to show. Inside is a little paper describing the box gifted in 1926 to or from, Adeline McCloy. No idea who she was but the paper said, it was old then. Her toe is a little bent but I don't dare trying to bend back into shape. I've made way too many mistakes doing stupid stuff like that. Victorian circa 1900.

I love the mystery that is this box. The glass in the top is beveled and gives the feeling that it gives magnification. I wonder if it was for a ring and now needs some velvet holder. Beautiful aquisition !~

I love boxes, one of glass/crystal even more so!!
I am not sure that this box never was lined, the bevel top and the ribbed bottom half is to hold your trinkets or like Phil said "for a ring". Lovely treasure. Lori

It is lined...appears to be silk. Thank you for your kind comment....so glad to be part of a community that is as psycho as I am for old and found objects. Peace
