With original Barbini sticker to base as well as a generic foil "made in Italy" sticker plus the importer's foil sticker to it's breast (E&R Golden Crown Italy).
E&R I believe was an importer of luxury goods from all over Europe (I have seen the sticker on Porcelain from Austria & France as well as numerous other applications) into America so my little duck I found here in Australia was probably originally sold in the U.S.
He's a very attractive fellow with beak, feet & eyes in colourless glass with gold aventurine inclusions while his head starts out a deep cranberry and fades down his body and he sits on a well finished colourless base.
Isn't it great! I love how Barbini gave them personality.

All of his animals are such characters & he used such simple, uncomplicated colours, techniques & combinations to do it... This fellow is completely done in colourless glass, colourless with gold aventurine inclusions & the fading cranberry of his body.... Magnificent simplicity.
