This is a Canadian GE console radio , model KL96. A friend of mine had it given to him and he does not collect radios,
so he gave it to me. I had to completely restore the chassis with new capacitors, clean the controls, install new light bulbs ,and everything else that needs to be done to get the radio working like it was new.
The cabinet was in bad condition ,BUT it was all there. From what was left of the toned lacquer, I determined the proper colors,
and the cabinet turned out quite well. The grill cloth was in very good condition. Here is the result; and it plays very good.

I just did a search for this radio as I have that exact model. Love the look, the history and the times. Mine also works. Although it was not handed down or obtained through family, I found it on marketplace and my family were friends village neighbours of the original owners. How cool is that!
