Gustave Sherman got his start at the jayflex company, so it is nice here to see what theirs would have looked like, nice quality !~

Thank you Dawn for your lovely praise for this brooch, I do agree it is elegant and almost too pretty to be called a horseshoe shape. You are so right, it sparkles beautifully against dark clothing and I think the sterling setting enhances it
Phil I did not know that Mr Sherman got his start at Jay Flex, perhaps he learned about the advantage of using prongs while there. Jay Flex did make some gorgeous pieces, I have one other that is fancy and more 'Sherman-esque' that I will post soon. Thank you for your fab informative comment
