This Kurata vase is 10" high x 5.5" widest diameter and weighs 4 lbs and 13 ounces. Someone removed the labels and Scotch taped the English label to the bottom and apparently discarded the Japanese label.
Giving this vase a matte finish did not do much to enhance the metallic inclusions in this vase. Odd how the Scotch tape on the bottom provides a window to the beauty of the construction.
I thought that I did pretty well paying $15 for this vase until I found the $3 price tag that had fallen into the vase, probably because it did not adhere well to this very dusty vase.
Another superb piece!! I love the color and design of this vase!!

Kurata did this a lot for a while, sand blasted vases to a very matte finish so the decor was lost.
Having said that I think these are so soft and subtle and beautiful

Updated first image after realizing I did not post an image of the main feature of this vase. Will do a better image in daylight. Did one now so I would not forget.
