Hello everybody!!
A bit more tobacciana that I've recently acquired. This is a tobacco jar in the form of a jockey head. It's ceramic and nicely painted. There is gold gilding around his collar, but I couldn't get it to show up well in my photos. I'm not sure how old this one is. Though it's numbered "6196" inside the cap, the backside isn't numbered, which tells me this is a Majolica Pottery copy. But I like it anyway. It measures 5" tall, 3 1/2" wide and 4" long.
Thanks very much for taking time to stop in for a look!!
Scott

Truthisanarrow,
Thanks very much for the cool comment!!!
I believe this could be an Austrian Majolica Jar by Josef Strnact. It is made around 1910.
Nice find.
