Here is a 5 1-2"W turtle with an amber glass back shell sprinkled with white dashes, and clear glass head, feet & tail. By Lenox Glass w/ orig label on underside

Scott thank you for your marvelous comment. It is a pretty big turtle, quite heavy and the back shell is large....I like the scalloped design of it. I'm always searching for a different type of turtle esp because their shells are so unique & interesting
Phil thank you so much for praising my turtle collection & your splendid comment, I expect you're right there are rather less turtle pieces made in recent yrs, possibly it's an endangered thing...ironically, back in the 70s-80s when scientists became aware that several animal species were endangered, they protected those at the time yet neglected others & today we have a different endangered species list! Also with climate change globally it's really hard for alot of animals to survive, esp in extreme heat or cold weather, not much can be done about that :(
