Once upon a time, long before the defunct Sears Roebuck & Company offered their well-known Kenmore appliances and Craftsman tools, the company also sold wood and brass cameras. This late-1890s Sears labeled camera is 4x5 inch format made for the amatuer market.
The nicely finished mahogany body is covered in pebbled leather. Inside is lacquered brass hardware and a red leather bellows. The most interesting feature is a shutter mounted inside a glossy finished mahogany lens board.

Most Excellent
Sir in my opinion you have a PhD in Camrolligy
With a Soul Stealing apparatus ,,
Amazing the amount of cultures that
thought the cameras were stealing their souls
In Still Life no Sound Occurs
Except for the sound you see
