Disney figures were produced in Italy, Japan, Australia and the USA in the post WWII years. I have posted some Australian figures by M.C.P. here in Sydney, Australia over the last few years on CW. This Pluto figure is an unusual find here in Australia but a good friend has advised me that she has one similar that is not a lamp. I have also seen one posted in 2019 in one of my FB groups in a different colour-way : a green lawn base that was also a lamp.
I’m hoping someone here on CW can tell me if this is one of the Evan K. Shaw / Metlox figures ???
I do not have access to the relevant books.

Beautiful Pluto figure

Many thanks SEAN. Maybe press the button, too … LOL
I tried Grok AI and the answer was "No, this figurine does not appear to be one of the Evan K. Shaw or Metlox Pottery pieces. Those lines typically featured Pluto in standalone poses (such as sitting, begging, laying down, or sniffing) or in a planter design where Pluto is attached to a white doghouse and peeking out from behind it, without a bone or grass base. Your piece, with Pluto sitting next to a separate blue doghouse, holding a bone on a grass-covered base, seems more consistent with other vintage Disney ceramics from makers like Leeds China or possibly even a Japanese import or custom/handcrafted item, but it doesn't match the known Shaw/Metlox designs."
Pluto is cute!!!
Many thanks TILTED !!!
