Here is a cool piece of rare Victorian glass that I snapped up on eBay!
It is made from a single layer of opaque pink glass with a roughly textured frit decor.
It measures 11.4 cm tall, 8.5 cm across the crimped top rim, & 5.5 cm across the base, which does not have a pontil mark.
The vase is of a squat form with a rounded four sided lower section that has four oval shaped indentations.
I believe this is by Welz, Victorian era. The pink frit decor seems pretty hard to find, I have only one other example, versus four in yellow.
Perfect condition.

Now that IS QUITE A FIND !!!!
Hear Hear !
Many thanks, Kevin!
Thanks also, Peggy!
This is a real "bubblegum pink" in real life! A little more intense than the other Welz pink frit vase I have.
I refer to this decor as bubble Gum Frit. Cool find... The pink is difficult to find, and I too only have one example...
On a side note, Whenever I do come to this site, I can almost without exception see a piece of posted glass, and know that you posted it... Your taste leans towards the eclectic production. :-)
Much appreciated, Craig!
And your observation about my taste really made me smile, as I do tend to favour the unusual or obscure. Even when I was collecting items other than glass, it was just the same. I like it odd, it gets me my dopamine hit without fail!
