Gorgeous color and, who doesn't love leaves ? Such a natural and pretty dish!
Had to be a piece that required some work to get the colour just right. I noticed that some companies made specially a brass stand which held some of these dishes which interested me at the time.
Thank you everybody for the love for my leaf dish, I'm really grateful to you & glad you liked it
DejaVu & Phil, thanks guys for your fantastic comments and yes, it's a delightful deep purple glass. I thought the sort of heart shape would be nice to show @ Valentine's. Heart shaped leaves are on alot of local trees, but mostly they remind me of my favorite flower the tropical hibiscus which has beautiful dark green leaves in this shape. I used to grow a few on my patio deck but living in the northeast, they die in cold winter, so it was too heartbreaking to lose such gorgeous flowering plants (I had red, pink & orange-yellow flowers) & I'm not good at indoor gardening. Lovely hobby for awhile though, bringing the beauty of Hawaii home :)
