My vase has a compressed 'Jack in the Pulpit' like shape. The body is made of optically, diagonal ribbed clear glass coloured by a thin inner case of Makart (or possibly orange) glass. The extended, strongly folded rim (made by using a German so called 'Zwack-Eisen'), in a late Victorian style, is separately attached and the foot is formed by a thick five-fold waved thorny branch. The vase is highly iridized and exhibits a polished pontil. For a comparison of the color, I show in the last foto two similarly coloured Loetz items, a pitcher carrying a Dek=III/23 décor and another JIP-vase. In my CW-post stories/307759 a conch shell of same colour is dicussed. My vase is typical for the glass production of the late 1880's and of course the PN remains unknown. The vase stands H=21 cm, the complex shaped top rim is 17x12 cm, the body Dm=14 cm and the foot extends Du=13 cm. The vase weights 948 gr.
