I was very happy to have this lovely vase arrive yesterday from France; it is in Loetz's beautiful 'dunkelblau' (dark blue) color, and features white enamel work of lines, small foliage and roses. I looked through the pattern book for the PN but didn't find a good match, so if you know what it may be, could you please let me know? The vase stands 8-3/4" (22.2cm) tall. It looks very nice next to another example I have in blue and white, a PNIII-355. I believe this vase dates to about 1915.
Impressive !.!!.!
Wow, so pretty!
Thank you Kevin! I appreciate it!
Thank you, Mrstyndall!
Exquisite enamel work.
Wow22, thank you! I really enjoy the white against the dark blue.
Yes, and it is so precise I really have to look closely to see that photos 1 and 2 are two different 'faces' of the vase. They are almost identical. I really like the vertical lozenge shape which separates the roses.
Me too! I should include a picture of that side. :)
Beautiful colour and enameling. It looks very well preserved.
Thank you Ivonne! I am lucky it is in such good condition. :)
Perfect together!..
I think these are beautiful in their seeming simplicity, yet on closer inspection so finely detailed. A joy!
Thanks so much Penny! :)
