Following up on Kai's extraordinary example, here is another piece designed by Michael Powolny for Lobmeyr, executed by Loetz. PN III-935, 19cm tall, I believe the Lobmeyr work number is 812-18. The technical difficulty of this piece is in the ten handles pulled from the vessel body - I can't imagine how this was done in such a way as to make it look seamless. Beautiful sapphire blue ground.

I love these vases very much. These grips are the reason I don't own one myself. So far I haven't dared to bid on one unseen.
