Another Sssnake, this is a necklace made from woven hair.
Head and tail forming the clasp, hallmarked with ram's head for Paris 1819/1838!
The figure of snake biting it's tail is metaphoric for infinity. Too used for endless love (awww!)
This is certainly a love token, not mourning.
But.... Never been able to wear it!
    Why?
    It scratches the neck awfully!!!
Adorable though, don't you think so?
    :-)

Hi Caperkid! Georgians and Victorians made a lot of sentimental or mourning jewellery :-)
The snake biting its tail is symbolic for eternity.
This necklace can be either sentimental, either mourning piece!
