Legras 'Rouge de Chine' Vase. The decor is red over white opaline and enamelled gilt vase. This a wonderful example of early 1900,s legras piece. This information came from: The source is Legras Verrier, by Marie-Francoise & Jean-Francois Michel, Nelly Fouchet, and Dominique & Jean Vitrat book. This was translated into english ...

This red has the imitation of Chinese lacquer is very rare. The decorative effect is provided by this glowing, bright and deep color and highlights are gold lotus flowers. Pieces lined with white opal glass.
This is a wonderful acquisition from the same huge collector. This piece has been sitting amongst tiny hummels for the past 35 years. Sitting in the darks. Now has a new leash on life in my display cabinet. Very blessed and happy

Special thank you to a good friend Warren, for all this incredible information on many of the pieces that I have been posting. Thanks for looking.
