This spectacular necklace is made of wonderfully worked, scrolled and engraved silver. The amethysts have a deep purple colour, and the big central oval cut stone is in great condition. The four small natural pearls have a lovely grayish hue. The workmanship is superb, even the back is beautiful, with leaves and tulips surrounding the frame. It is not marked and I suspect it might have been part of a bigger jewel, perhaps a corset brooch or stomacher. I also think it may be older, maybe Empire/ late Georgian. In any case, it is a very special piece I treasure very much.

This is a gem, a fantastic piece, and as you say the workmanship is superb. The Amethyst stones, pearls and silver all work together.
