I can't believe I forgot to show this. I found it a few weeks ago. It was $20.00 with 50% off. I had another $5.00 off. It cost me five dollars. Marked 14k and 1977. I think it is a graduation pin, does anyone know how collectible these are? I would have to think it is value more than the weight of the gold. Enjoy!

They are collectible-- of course not as collectible as US Military Academy items!

Earlier, WW1/ WW2 era items, usually are the most desirable; but this still will have interest.

I Love the Design, and would bet a Graduate of the Academy, or Family member, is looking for one just like it, right now! Nice Find, and Great Buy!

scottvez, drfluffy, izenglish. thanks for the info. I think I will hold onto this one for a bit. I love the work, and the buy was good enough to be able to keep it. Thanks again for the help!!!!

Forgot to detail-- this is called the class crest. Each class at the Academy (USNA, USMA, USAFA) develop their own crest.

At USMA it is unveiled toward the end of plebe year-- probably similar timing for the other Academies.
