While my car was at the shop today, I walked to Goodwill and spotted this hand-blown McEwen (etched on base) vase for $5.
I think the pontil had been re-fired to make it less sharp. There is a little red every now and then in this piece. It's also very heavy. I ended up walking around Walmart with it-- first time I'd been in there in like 4 years.

My mom loves teal and art-glass, so this will be perfect for her.

McEwen seems to have been active in the 1990s. Not much about him that I found.

Sorry I am late, but the artist is the late Thomas McEwen, who passed in 2009.
He owned and operated Lakeside Dune Glass in Muskegon, MI. During his career, he studied abroad and the European influence is seen in many of his later works. Your piece is beautiful.
