This was my Mother-in-Laws Rum Butter Bowl. I have tried looking up more information about it but there really isn't much information about them. Rum Butter is a Cumbrian delicacy and is sugar, butter, and rum. It is specifically a Cumbrian dish, often made for special occasions like Christenings, Christmas etc. My bowl is pretty crazed and browned and looks like it has been well used, but I don't actually know how old it is. It is over 8" across and 4" tall. It is earthenware with a blue and white transfer print.
