This is a good one Malkey... I've seen this vase sold as Durand. However, I checked the shape index in my reference book "Durand the Man and His Glass", and couldn't find a match. Regardless, it's a beautiful vase, and by the looks of it, it appears the threading is in excellent shape.

Looks like the threading is in pretty good shape. The threads had a tendency to break off in places on these. Some Durand is marked, but this is pretty clearly Durand. Nice find!

I thought the same as Bey Malkey, thinking it was Durand. After researching the form and finding it not listed in Durand's shape index, I'm doubtful. Now, unless a marked example definitively linking it to Durand surfaces, you just can't be certain. Bear in mind that several glass houses - one of which is Steuben - produced blue aurene vases with threading. Here is a link to Steuben's shape index. I don't have the patience to go through all 4,000 but you may very well find yours there. Good luck!

I just checked the link, and it wouldn't save to where I had left it. Where is says "form", look for "vase" in the drop-down menu.

It is Durand. Not all shapes are in the Meschi book as he admits. Nice one.
