I found these at an estate sale of the priests home. I fell in love with them and they just totally awesome. I don't know who made them and they are not marked. they are made Of some kind of metal I think spelter however, I think it like looks more like bronze because of it heavy weight. I don't want to scratch them to find out. anyway the colors on it one of them is the bronzy color the other ones kind of a dark color think it was done that way originally to represent the dark angel and angel also being owned by a priest.
Use a piece of sandpaper on a spot underneath. If it comes up a reddish color, it's bronze. I think someone attempted to clean the other one. The patina should be equal on both.
Thanks I'm sure it's Spielter. More than likely the priest did it.

Pretty close to identical to deco bookends I have seen without the wings. Not sure if these are later. Bronze copies do not exist but if they did the founder would have put a marble base on them also. If bronze is scratched the colour is a yellow colour. If you see a copper colour it often has been plated. Hi BB2 !
