A fine German porcelain pitcher by Reinhold Schlegelmilch's (initials, RS). Produced from 1869 to 1956. The mark on the piece is a genuine mark. The transferred floral decorations are over the glaze. The glaze it's a light think glaze. The porcelain is thin, lightweight and translucent (The light will pass through it).

      Looks good.

The mark looks to be the most commonly encountered mark as I remember (I collected heavily about 20- 25 years ago).

The translucent test (see through when held to light), was always the best determiner for me.

      Had to take another look...
      So beautiful!
Sort of reminds me of my Mother's china which is German.. called Wild Rose...

Thanks again Ms.CrystalShip... It's definitely German. Part of my family came from Prussia in the mid 1800's.
Wild Rose fits the pattern beautifully!

Looking at all of the items I've posted over the years (to help with jogging my memory & insurance claims) is killing me.
So many items that have been in my family from 1875 ish until now, is just gone. I found a few items in the ash and soot. None of this set made it, which (I think) was actually brought over from Prussia with my family.
At least I have some pictures to remind me.

I am so very sad to hear of the loss of your home and possessions - what a truly terrible fire that was. I pray your family stays safe, and together.

      God bless -
