The Vogel-Buol Soda Water Co. was formed in 1903 and had a manufactory at 2207-2209 Lynch street in St. Louis Mo. Charles F. Vogel was listed as President, Paul Buol was secretary and a third member shown in various advertisements but not on the bottle was a James R. Bray whom I am guessing was treasurer. Vogel & Buol parted ways and each started their own soda water company in 1907. I am not sure what happened to Mr. Bray.
Pic #1 shows a Vogel Buol bottle dating in that time period of 1903-1907
Pic #2 is a Paul Buol soda water bottle dating from 1907 - 1911. Paul continued the soda water business at the Lynch address and dies in 1911. Paul had one of his brothers (Joseph) who helped or ran the business in 1910-1911.
Pic#3 is a Vogel bottle also dating to the 1907-1911 time period. Charles F. Vogel moved his portion of the business to 2741 Gravois in St. Louis and the final listing is in 1910. Charles had a long history in the soda water business, starting as a clerk for the Ackerman Soda Water Co. in 1887. In1893 he is listed as supt. and in 1895 he is the manager at Ackerman's. In 1913 Charles is still in the bottling business now listed as the manager of the Enno Sander Mineral Water Co.
Pic #4 is an advertisement from 1904. The year of the World's Fair here in St. Louis
