Forgive me, I couldn't resist it. Seriously, Happy Thanksgiving and be safe if traveling to all of you and your loved ones. This is my first Thanksgiving to get to share with my CW friends. I love this forum and its inhabitants, the best place on the net.
    Yours truly,
    Bill

Bill(Toyrebel), And It Is Great You Are Here!!!! If your like me..I have enough drama. This site I stumbled upon while searching for a way to share Music initially..the Soundtracks to our lives..I've met alot of swell folks here..I do not Facebook nor use messenger..too much for me..I have enough and besides, with what I do, it is a blessing that I don't. I do keep E-mail..it is in my profile script.
This site, CW , I love!! There's the occasional this and that, like anywhere, The thing though, one must remember We came for we have a collection or an item, that is enduring and a pleasure for us that we want to share it with others. And to Learn!! No finer school than CW! If one does not learn here, then one is unteachable.
You have been a friend to alot here and I am one, not because we are 'Bama' folk, which is cool, but for what you do..and that is simply being YOU!!!

      Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Reb, I wasn't real sure about you when you popped up on CW. I'm still not sure ! LOL !! Let's just try to get along with everybody. I've found that to be the smoothest way. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here, but, Happy Thanksgiving to you and all my friends on CW.

      Brunswick, Heh!

Without remembering the specifics of the source, I was channeling Sam Gross' infamous frog cartoon. I remember the first time I saw it, I reflexively said to myself "That's not funny; that's sick!" and only then saw the caption: "That's not funny, that's sick!"

      Here it is:

      http://mikelynchcartoons.blogspot.com/2010/12/sam-gross-frog-legs-original-cartoon.html

And per a 2011 interview with Gross:

      *snip*

..the frogs’ legs cartoon was in the December 1970 issue of the [National] Lampoon.

KERAMIKOS That’s Funny I have that National Lampoon
As soon as I read that yesterday, I pictured that cartoon
Of the Frog rolling out of the kitchen

      Vynil33rpm, It's definitely a generational thang. :-)

Mr. Hooper sold the "turkey" to them.

Mr. Hooper told them next year
He plans on having Caned Oscar

Rodriguez, an artist for National Lampoon drew a bunch of the "cruel" cartoons. They were cold blooded but funny.
    25. keramikos keramikos, 10 months ago
I guess Cookie Monster for dessert is a bit too obvious, huh?
    26. keramikos keramikos, 10 months ago
I had a subscription to National Lampoon for awhile, and my poor mother would shake her head disapprovingly whenever an issue hit the family mailbox.
    27. Toyrebel Toyrebel, 10 months ago
I turned a lot of people on to National Lampoon. It was edgy for its time. It helped to be warped to fully appreciate it.
