This is a superb piece of French Jewelry dating from the Early 1900s The huge Girandole style brooch with three suspended drops of huge royal purple amethyst stones is quite stunning. It is marked 'Depose' to the reverse so it is obviously a French piece but I am unable so far to identify the maker : ( Can Anyone help?? I would love to know who made it the makers marks are 'BW' and shown in the last photo. The brooch measures over 4" inches long to the bottom of the longest drop.

Seeing this French jewelry I realize that I'm fond of deep colours as Amethysts, deep blue (enameled jewelry) and so on. That's why I also like this jewel very much and also for the nice style. There is perhaps someone who can help you in finding the maker. You can send your question and picture (of course) to Antique jewelry Investor. Perhaps they can give you more information. Succes !

Maybe Kitty has gone now (5 yr. old post), just wanted to say please take pictures on a plain/neural background, so that each little delicate piece can be seen clearly.
