This large antique Pottery Vase has beautiful large Iridescent Flowers on the surface, and is marked on the bottom with an X, that looks like a smoking pipe with a line through it, and 482, it might be Austrian or German, even American, but would like to find out about it! :^D

Thank you for looking, any information, or comments, are welcome! :^)

Hi Pete, no Weller Pottery had many early lines that were unmarked, but "Sicard" was signed in glaze on the lower side, and sometimes a number and or a artist mark, could be seen on the bottom, if not covered with Glaze! This vase I took a photo of this morning 7/27/19, it was one that Keith had and he wasn't sure what it was. At the time Weller didn't come to mind, but I check in one of my Weller Pottery Books, and on line and found some that looked close to Keith's Vase, but it wasn't clean, and if it was signed in glaze, it might have been missed! I missed looking for one! &:^} Thanks for your comment! :^D

Here's a link for Weller Sicard Pottery Vases, that have a similar look to the one I have posted:

      https://fineart.ha.com/itm/ceramics-and-porcelain-american/modern-1900-1949-/large-and-impressive-pair-of-weller-sicard-lustre-glazed-pottery-vases-designed-by-jacques-sicard-zanesville-ohio-circa-total-/a/5218-62255.s

It shows the in glaze mark, but not the bottom of the vases, I need to research a little more! :^)
