32 cm / 21 cm. Probably from ca. 1900-1920. Often used by thieves. When they were in danger of being discovered, they'd quickly push down the hood and cover the candle. With wide sleeves, they could even make the whole lantern disappear. And for the record: No, I'm not a thief.
