Very cute little poodle- I imagine her on a little lead with diamonds on her collar and being lead around some fashionable part of a city...maybe Paris, Berlin or Manhattan? Dogs always make interesting brooches and like cats they can be styled to look so elegant too
This would look so pretty against a black coat or dress!
Thank you so much for the love

Thanks six-0-one for the wonderful compliments, I agree that Pell did a very nice job styling this poodle, which as you know was perhaps the most common dog in 50s & 60s jewelry, so it is hard to find one with a bit of uniqueness to it
Lauren what a fabulous thought of walking her through a fashionable part of a big city, the collar does look made to go onto a fancy leash (and held by a fancy lady!). Agree about the dog & cat brooches and I recently posted a matching Pell cat with similar collar, I am a "both" dog-cat person & try to not forget posting both, yet find there are many more cat designs than dog for some reason. Fabulous compliments thanks so much :)
MrsT you are so right this is a sparkler with those oval aurora borealis rhinestone accents on this poodle, it looks terrific on a dark background. Many thanks for your lovely comment & super idea
Thank you Ralph & aura for the very kind love and consideration, I am very grateful to you & glad you liked this dog
Thanks so much Adele & foseatme for the love it is always greatly appreciated!
How do you find such perfect vintage treasures Jenni!
I just love this poodle.
So happy you enjoyed my little poodle Karen & many thanks for the great compliments & love, most of my finds lately are online because although they have just recently opened some shops, you must wait on queue and be allowed in when others depart, it is such a drag that it's much simpler to continue buying on the net - better days ahead I hope :(
Love it !!!
Rose I'm so glad you loved my poodle & thank you for the fabulous comment and kind appreciation you have been sorely missed, come back soon pleez!
Many thanks dlp for the very kind love, it is always great to see you here and I'm so glad you enjoyed this doggie too
Thank you jb for the very kind live and support, it is very nice of you and always most gratefully appreciated
This Pell brooch setting is in silvertone (possibly rhodium) metal, and not one item in my vintage Pell jewelry collection is plastic. The inaccurate & unsupportable claim by a member that "most older Pell pieces have plastic backings" has been reported to CW Management, smearing this respectable vintage costume jewelry co founded in 1941 by former Coro designers is dangerous and destructive to both that company history as well as all past & present Pell collectors
