    Not sure what this beautiful iron piece is. At first i tthought it was for shoe shine but never saw one with 2 feet on it. . help!!!

      This was originally a treadle on a sewing machine or jigsaw foot powered machine .Someone has welded four steel pegs on it to make a footrest or who knows what ?

      What it may or may not have been will forever be q question. When those four little legs were added it became a trivet. Either for actual use, part of a unique collection or a wall hanger.

      Yes that's exactly it. A Wilcox and Gibbs treadle machine. Thank you!! I knew it looked too much like feet with the lips on back.

      Would be so nice if you used it as a trivet now to put hot pots on. Gorgeous design !
