Original encaustic cat by Burien Artist Alida Schuh.
Approximately 7 7/8" wide and tall. It has a red cat with a blue sky background.

Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used.

Nifty artwork, and thanks for the explanation of how it was crafted. :-) :-) :-)

And dav2no1, don't we ALL need every single extra "smile" we can manage to get these days...?? Thanks for giving me one, too. :-) :-) :-)
