Here is a rare piece of Bohemian glass that I won on eBay AU! There were several watchers but I was the sole bidder. Cheered me up a lot as I've been quite unwell recently.
This inkwell is made from deep cobalt blue glass with an intense iridescent finish which makes it look comprehensively purple. There is a drapery type decor. Fortunately this still has the original metal lid intact (I got one of these inkwells in green iridescent five years ago *hoping* to find a replacement lid...still waiting). The lid has a very attractive pattern of foliage.
Bohemian origin, circa 1900. Made by Kralik.

Stunning inkwell, love it
Many thanks, Bronmar!
Beautiful inkwell, hope you fell better.
Great design, Marin, I think the leafy lid is so in keeping with the period.
Great Buy and GET BETTER !!!
I was going to say "stunning" and then "beautiful" but they have already been used:)
It's a wonderful piece hope its provided the tonic to make you feel better!!
Thanks so much, kev123! Yes, just starting to improve...
Thanks also, Peggy! I'm loving that leafy lid! I wonder if my lidless green one had the same or something else, they seem to come in numerous variants.
Much appreciated, Kevin! I'm getting there, managed to pop out to the shops today & hope to go further afield soon...
Much appreciated, Bernard! A tonic it was indeed!
Great find. It's a nice example!
Many thanks, dav2n01!
