This is a charming pair of small vases I won on eBay AU a few days ago. These had several watchers, & I had a nervous week waiting for the auction to end, but luckily I was the sole bidder.
The vases are made from a very dark purple glass with an intense iridescent finish. They measure 12 cm tall, 4 cm across the incurved, crimped top rim, & 5 cm across the base, which has a polished out pontil mark. There is attractive enamel decoration of flowers.
Bother vases are marked on the base 109 S.85.
I believe these are by Ferdinand Von Poschinger Buchenau.
Circa 1900.

They look very well with your garden. Time was I would have been SO envious. Now I just love that they will fit so well with your collection.
Beautiful things and the paint is still in wonderful condition, so many of these have been cleaned a bit too aggressively.
So much appreciated, Peggy, that is a lovely sentiment!
Thanks also, Bernard! Yes, in amazingly good condition for their age!
Congratulations !!!!
Thanks so much, Kevin! So thrilled to have scored these!
Beautiful!! (And the cyclamen, as well!) :)
Many thanks Michelle, & so nice to hear from you!
