    Found these for under a dollar. Very interesting, I've never seen a cutting tool like these. They look handmade, but they can't be too early as the nails are newer. Unless they were added to hold the saw in place. Fits in the palm of ones hand. 6 1/2 inches

      Thanks for the guesses everyone. I believe it is a trenching saw. I saw a similar one in a book.

      Look a bit like dado saws. Marquetry or cutting slots for stair treads?

      Cross cut teeth are not for grout. Stair builders trenching saw.
