Here's my 1950 5 window pickup I have been working on for the last 12 years. My Dad had one when I was a kid, so when I got a chance to buy one I did. It has a 64 283 with a 4 on the floor with a 12 bolt posi. The paint is 1972 Impala gulf green. It has a Pacer front suspension. This is being built in memory of my Dad. He got to ride in it once before I tore it apart. He passed before I got it finished . My plan is to get it on the road this summer. I know he will be sitting next to me on that first ride.

NOW that's a FINE truck, Wow. Love the story and really love the truck, thanks for showing it to me. I'll have to go and delete mine now, lol
Mines still just a old farm truck at heart. Thanks much kerry10456.
Ok, if thats the case I'll be over in the morning to do the chores. That means I get to take the truck to town, right? lol
As soon as we milk the chickens, and get the eggs from the cows , we can head into town.
Great story and awesome truck! I'm sure your dad is smiling down on you.
Thanks chevy59 and blair for the love. Blood,,lot's of sweat, and a few tears.
It is beautiful, going to be a real screamer when finished.
Thanks StihlCollector. My friend had satin black in the paint gun, and had sprayed the interior . I was standing watching and this green flashed on the truck for a split second. I told him to stop. It took me a few days to find the color I had seen. It was a car my Dad had in the mid 70's. Strange how things work sometimes.
Yea I remember that color on Impalas. It is funny that is not a color I would of thought of, but you know what I really like it. It flows well with those great 50's Chevy lines, plus it is in remembrance of your dad. I love Chevrolets and I love high performance. Thanks for sharing, i will look forward to more. Great story by the way, I know how you feel, my father passed about 4 years ago.
LOVE the truck and the story.............Just a side note...my buddy had a 72 convert' of this color..........we all called it 'dirty diaper green !' wasn't that flattering ? Good times....
nice ride, I had a green 55 ford pickup original color,292 v8-3 speed sold it over 30+ years ago for $180.00 so I could buy fuel oil for the old furnace, I'll never get over that one, only hurts when I think about it, I have my 63 chevy II 327 powerglide, love my chevy :) ohh the guy that bought the old ford truck delivered rural fuel oil, he got me :(
I have a chevy nomad hotwheels, red line wheels, with that metallic green color thats on your truck, If I can find it, I will post it, I know i still have it but not sure where :)
Thanks Pop_abides and Deanteaks. Thanks for the stories. It's the best part of collecting anything. Love those Chevy II's. Hmmmm,,,Dirty diaper green.
