I found this figurine at a local thrift shop. I think she is very beautiful. I know I have seen figures like this before but know very little about identifying it. She is about 5" tall, the felt on the bottom is pretty old looking but I can't really date her by that. There seems to be a small repair on her back, left kidney area, don't know if it shows up. And I took off the felt to see if there was a number or something. Nothing that I can see.
Can anyone give me some ideas on this? She is definitely made of some sort of metal. Thanks so much!

She is a bookend ! Part of a pair, there were many of these around and every day I see new ones coming up for auction, thanks to the internet. This one is one of those new discoveries ! A lot of them were made of pot metal and Hubbard was one of the manufacturers, buying out thousands of molds, and for a bookend, this is a beautiful scene of repose !~Phil.
