In addition to the bright "Tango" colors introduced by Loetz sometime after 1912, dark blue was commonly used as a background for enameled decoration. This shape, PN III-317, appears to have come in several sizes (as the paper pattern indicates that the version published is the 8" size). This vase stands a bit shorter, at 5.5" tall. The ground, again, is dunkelblau (dark blue) glatt (smooth). Fire polished rim, ground and polished pontil, and white enameled flower garland decoration. Dates to after 1914.
