1930s “depression era” toy zeppelin by SteelCraft Toy Co.
I added the lead soldiers by Barclay Co.
I used a desk lamp for light .
The reflection on the pebbled wall reminds me of the movie, "Sky Captain
& the World of Tomorrow”. Which I added the title on the backdrop.
The sepia color of the reflection is reminiscent of the Hindenburg of 1937.
This pressed steel toy has a small circular opening on the front. I believe
a string was attached to pull the zeppelin.
    The unit measures 24” long.
The SteelCraft Co. in Murray, Ohio, produced toy zeppelins with different
decals, including Akron and Graf Zeppelin.
This Graf Zeppelin has a blue star decal on top. I have seen other
Graf Zeppelins with the German Nazi Swastika.
Prior to ww2, this symbol of the cross was a sign of “good luck” &
similar themes going back centuries. I have seen vintage photos from
the 20s by Coca-Cola Co. using it in a positive tone. The advent of ww2
    forever changed that.

oh my grandson would adore this. I recently introduced him to Thunderbirds. And I was trying to explain Zeppelins to him..

How lovely and well made too ......

What a great toy, and (agree with Karen) really great staging!

      Thanks.
As far as staging, I added the soldiers to give an idea of the size of the Zeppelin.
The shadows in the background wall were an after thought
& only saw it when I was taking the shot.
      Sometimes...I get lucky !
