wow how beautiful....your eye for good glass is aparent.
Could we have a shot of the backs pls? I know it's not the nicest shot but it helps us look for names, tags etc
I love all those colours together, well found...

Thanks, AnneLanders. Actually, seeing the costume jewelry on this site has inspired me to look at the jewelry section of my thrift store.

try and buy things you like
things that feel heavy are good ie not plastic
I love costume but it has to be elegant or big bling!!!
Your item really is stunning, cant believe this was thrift...
Keep an eye of for very small writings of makers marks
And try and research your pieces too, it's good fun

This site is good because it has photos of the marks and tells you a bit about the company. And yes, even in fake jewellery there are bad, good and great makers. Some items can go for as much as real stones... I myself love Weiss in particular...

Read up on the good makers, Coro, Weiss

This is an exceptional piece Emme :) ...Anne is right, Illusion Jewels is a great site. Your mark appears to have been used after 1955. Here's what they have below about Florenza (1950-1981) :

Dan Kasoff Corporation was producing jewelry in the 1940's, before using the name Florenza.
The name "Florenza" came from the name of Dan's wife Florence.
Florenza manufactured jewelry for Capri, House of Benedict, Estee Lauder, Albert Weiss, Stanley-Kazlo & Kramer of N.Y.
Florenza made vanity items signed Florenza, and unsigned for TACOA--The Accessories Corporation of Atlanta--late 1960's into 1970's.
      Also see "Kaywin".
Info kindly provided by Larry Kasoff, son of Dan.

Thanks, Mikelv85. I had read the story of Florenza from a link on the internet. I will check out Illusion Jewels, AnneLanders and Mikelv85.

AnneLanders, my cardinal rule is, do you like it? Can you live with it? If yes, then buy. I seldom buy something I dislike simply because of the name.
