    Hello CW friends!
These are a Japanese flea market find, 100y (1$). They are quite small, about 1cm (0.5") so I think they can still be called studs? The 925 mark is difficult to photograph but it is there alright. There is no other mark.
The three flowers are softly bent into a half circle shape. I really like their simplicity.
No idea about when they could have been made though, any idea?

Thank you for looking, as ever!
    Merci!

      Sweet earrings!

They are pretty, but dating them would only be a guess. They might have been relatively new when you bought them or could have been made 25 years earlier.

Thank you everyone one for the loves!! Much appreciated.
Arigatoo very much nutsa, Tassie, kyra, Efesgirl, for your nice comments. They were quite dirty when I found them, but I know that doesn't say much about their age, right? :-)) Sometimes dating is just impossible I guess....

Post and butterfly earring backs came into use in the 20s, your backs look very regular which indicate modern machined, and I don't see variation on the fronts to indicate artisan work. A better view of the stamp might help, my guess would be fairly contemporary, late 20th century, maybe if those are cherry blossoms Chinese or Japanese. Very pretty earrings! :)

Thank you so much Katherine! I hadn't thought about cherry blossoms, but now that you mention it, of course! Very possible. The five petals and their shape... the mark is so small my camera can't seem to grab it in focus. I guess they will always stay as a bit of a mystery :-))

Our Bonnie suggests using a loupe to photograph hallmarks, if you'd care to try that. :)

Yes, indeedie! A high quality jeweler's loupe held against the camera lens will bring tiny marks into focus.

Wow, these appear to be much older than the ones I have. I got mind in Hawaii and they are representative of the plumaria, which was actually prohibited here in the states until around the early 90's. This is the flower used to make Hawaiian Lei's, you can find them just about everywhere around Southern California now in many different and very beautiful colors...not to mention the awesome aroma they put out!

Forgot to say, I got my bracelet and earrings in the late 80's, Hawaii.

Oh, so sorry I somehow missed your comment, share! Thank you for the precious info. I googled plumeria and you're so right, there can be no mistake. What a beautiful flower it is! And you say they smell nice too? I like those earrings even more now, thank you!

No worries at all! They do have an aroma that is actually better than roses. It goes farther too. Soooo good! Where are you? Funny thing is that I pretty much have a green thumb, but for those, I almost had 3 growing this year...all gone and didn't work. I think they would have but someone stepped on two of them and I accidentally took out the third! haha oh well, I will try again and maybe can send you one to try.

You can't but love them, what a little wonder of nature. I live in Japan. Maybe difficult to send? But next year surely you will have gorgeous pictures to show me!! I can't wait. I'm trying to grow bonsai on a tiny balcony, I know green thumbs can often be put to the test, it's not easy. But I believe in you, you can do it! :-))
