    Hi we have here a Fritz Heckert iridescent glass vase with translucent yellow to main body with green banding plus uranium glass glows with UV light
    tricorn top
    polished pontil with strange signature i can't make out but has numbers below signature 10387
    height 4 1/2 inches width 4 inches

      Looks like it says AURENE, but that would indicate Steuben. Did heckert call any of their glass aurene?

      No problem Malkey... possibly some "enterprising" American who could not ID the vase thought to "enhance" the value by passing it off as Steuben. I've seen Rindskopf with Loetz markings, Loetz with Tiffany markings, etc. Very cool vase! I think you are right on with the Heckert attribution.

      I have seen other Steuben glass signed Aurene with the "a" that looks like a "q". I think this is Steuben as well. Nice!

      A lovely vase, Malkey. I agree with you that it is Heckert Changeant - and I love the triangular opening! Very unusual and a great shape!

      I can confirm Heckert Changeant, shape no. 5583 (pattern book 400), around 1903.
