I love this! This is a 1964 Filmways TV Productions, Inc. "The Thing" bank from the Addams Family in the original box. I am told that it works, but I have to get a C battery... I hope he is right but these seem to sell for good prices even if the don't work.

      Neat...sweet...petite:

In the 1960s television series, Thing—strictly speaking, a disembodied forearm, since it occasionally emerged from its box at near-elbow length—was usually played by Ted Cassidy, who also played the lugubrious butler Lurch.

Ooh, I had one in my childhood!
When you put a coin vertically in the dedicated place, the box giggles and in a blink the green hand comes out of the trap and grasp the coin.
Mine in its box like yours disappeared in a moving :-/
