Bought this from a family estate sale many years ago.

I've done a little research and believe it's somewhat unique with the ":" between Pepsi and Cola.

It hung in my great uncle's broom shop.

Nice piece! The Pepsi 'double dot' logo was used from about 1905 to about the early 1940's, then they switched it to just one 'single dot' in the early 1960's. All Pepsi stuff from those era's have these logo's.

Thanks for that information. At least I know the age range. I guess there is no way to narrow it down any more?

Do you know the significance of the '6' at the bottom?

Sorry, not sure what the 6 is for. But I think the piece would be from the early 40's.

Was thinking it stood for 6 oz but that was coke .. wasn't Pepsi a Six and a Half Oz bottle back then .."?

In the early days they were 6 1/2 oz. I have 2 straight sided bottles that are like that. Then they switched to 8 and then 12 oz size. Please correct me if I am mistaken.

Seems there are different versions. Mine goes down to -40 and has a 6 on the left side, I've seen another that goes down to -30 and has an 8 on the right , and another that goes to -50 with a 5 on the right. Why? Maybe only a Pepsi thermometer expert knows! :-)
