This piece was passed over at auction in England, and I knew I had seen this decor somewhere before. So I contacted the auction house, and thankfully, I was able to acquire it. Loetz Böhmisches Glas 1880-1940, Band 1 (Werkmonographie), affectionately known as "Ricke I" says the following about this decor (with apologies for any translation problems):
2nd half 1930s, production number unknown, decor unknown (book example); Sticker with handwritten note Klostermühle Spiegelau. Colorless with irregular air bubbles. Opaque reddish brown and blue windings, twisted into waves in a twelve-part ribbed model. Mold blown and shaped. Collection of the Vocational Training Center for Glass, Zwiesel. Part of a group of about 10 glasses which were probably transferred to the Zwiesel Glass School by the new management in 1939 following the takeover of the management of the hut in Klostermühle by Paul Beate and the hut in Spiegelau. This would have been made about the same time as Schaumglas and some of the brightly colored art deco "Diaspora neu" pieces.

This example has slightly wider red stripes than the book example, but all else is the same; colorless ground, opaque red with blue windings, irregular controlled bubbles, wave pattern, twelve-part ribbed vase. Fire polished rim, ground and polished pontil. This piece is about 7 inches tall, max width about 6 inches.

Damn it! I saw this too Warren - I think it was listed as Kralik - I wasn't convinced, so passed on it - I would never have believed until now it could have been Loetz, I thought it relatively modern. : (
